Duties/ Responsibilities |
Under supervision of the Director of Training 1, the Agency Training and Development Specialist 2 will plan, schedule, coordinate, implement, evaluate and facilitate various training programs for the Department. Duties will include, but are not limited to: administration of training activities to ensure employees' training and development needs are met; conducting training programs such as supervision and management, team building, sexual harassment prevention, facilitation skills and communications; managing the agency's Learning Management System (LMS); preparing RFPs, contracts and letters of agreement; working with Department managers to develop training programs which meet the agency's goals and objectives; representing the Department on interagency training groups; and developing curricula and evaluation criteria, including on-line programs. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
One year of permanent or contingent permanent competitive service as an Agency Training and Development Specialist 2, SG-23 or in a title eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of Civil Service Law; or reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service list for this title. |
