Duties/ Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Manager of Microsoft Technology Support and Administration Group(MTSAG), the incumbent will be the technical lead on the integration of Microsoft products and technologies with existing legacy applications; Cache/TABS running on OpenVMS, Oracle Forms/Reports Application Software, Oracle Databases running on UNIX and OpenVMS. The incumbent must have proven ability to plan, design and implement the integration of new Microsoft and non-Microsoft products into the existing OPWDD IT infrastructure. This position requires superior communication skills; both oral and written as well being a good team collaborator. The duties required by this staff member will include, but not be limited to the following:

The individual must be able to provide comprehensive support of OPWDDs Choices electronic case management system deployed using Microsoft Dynamics CRM and its integration with Cache/TABS via web services and Microsoft BizTalk.

Assist in the design and planning of the expanded use of Microsoft Dynamics CRM development environment and ensure the efficient use of a newly deployed Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) software application collaboration platform.

Assist in further integration of Microsoft Dynamics CRM with legacy UNIX and OpenVMS based Oracle systems using web services, BizTalk, and SQL Server Integration Services.

Work with the Database Administration group and the Application Development teams to develop proper web services management practices utilizing existing Microsoft and/or Oracle Tools.

Work with the Microsoft SharePoint Team, the Intranet team, the Training Team and end users to properly encode and deploy streaming video utilizing Microsoft Windows Media Services.

Manage and customize Microsoft System Center Operations Manager to ensure the optimal performance of and communication between heterogeneous systems.

Work with the Database Administration group to integrate Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft SQL Server Services with legacy Oracle, Cache/TABS and Crystal Reports/Business Objects environments.

Provide expert design, planning and support of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 Clustering, server load balancing using NLB and/or Cisco CSS devices, and the secure deployment of systems utilizing Microsoft ISA proxy servers.

In addition, skills in deploying or supporting the following technologies are highly desired and strong candidates should have experience with and have experience supporting the following:

Microsoft Virtual PC and Virtual Server

HP Blade Servers running Windows, VMware ESX and ESXi or Linux

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications

Minimum requirement is at least one year proven experience as a primary technical lead in deploying and supporting each of the above Microsoft technologies and the integration of them with non-Microsoft systems based on OpenVMS/Cache/TABS and UNIX/OpenVMS Oracle and Oracle Forms/Reports Application Software.
