Duties/ Responsibilities |
The primary need for this position is to manage the interoperability and interchange of the multiple electronic messaging application systems messaging which includes VMS System Mail, Secure Message Center (SMC) and MS Exchange. Messaging (e-mail) and other alternatives means of messaging (unified communication) is a rapidly growing requirement for the Agency due to the importance to communicate effectively and efficiently in order to conduct everyday business within the agency and outside of the agency. Due to the nature of OPWDDs business, it is necessary to insure all electronic communications both internal and external comply with any existing rules; regulation and/or laws that mandate how certain electronic communications need to be delivered and/or received. As with all other State agencies, OPWDD is required to adhere to the NYS Cyber Security Policy; that has been published by the NYS Office of Cyber Security & Critical Infrastructure Coordination (OCSCIC). |
