Duties/ Responsibilities |
As a Senior Employment Security Clerk, you would perform a variety of functions related to identifying people who are working and receiving unemployment insurance benefits. As directed, you would prepare inquiries to claimants and employers, track responses, follow up with employers who fail to respond and set-up and maintain case files. You would also use computer applications to input and retrieve case information, respond to requests for information and refer calls or correspondence to Investigator staff, as appropriate. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
This position is open to current NYS employees only. Candidates must have at least one year of permanent competitive service in a title allocated to Grade 7 or higher and be eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of NYS Civil Service Law to Senior E.S.Clerk. |
