Duties/ Responsibilities |
The Office of Higher Education is seeking applicants for an Education Credentials Specialist 1 position in the Office of Teaching Initiatives. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Education Credentials Specialist 1 or Education Program Assistant 2 OR be reachable on the Education Department's Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT) eligible list OR be a current State employee who is reachable on the Professional Careers Test (PCT) eligible list. Appointees from the PATT and PCT lists must serve a two-year traineeship that leads to the Grade 18 salary level. Candidates who are reachable on either of these eligible lists AND possess a bachelor's degree and 15 credit hours in education or have a bachelor's degree and one year of experience in human resources developing job standards and/or assessing applicant qualifications or in a position evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions will be appointed at the Trainee 2 level and serve a one-year traineeship. Candidates who are reachable on either of these eligible list and possess a bachelor's degree and 15 credit hours in education and one year of experience in human resources developing job standards and/or assessing applicant qualifications or in a position evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions OR have a bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources developing job standards and/or assessing applicant qualifications or in a position evaluating educational or professional credentials for individuals or institutions will be appointed at the Grade 18 salary level. |
