Duties/ Responsibilities |
The incumbent will function as the primary receptionist in the Commission's Executive Suite as support staff responsible for main phone line; Responsibilities will include: support person assigned to the Commissioner designated as Chairperson of the Citizens' Policy and Complaint Review Council and support person to the Council, which necessitates coordinating dates, location and travel arrangements of their meetings, preparing agendas and packages for monthly meetings; logging in inmate grievances and tracking such; proofreading documents for final copy; preparing special and routine documents, correspondence and reports. Serve as the primary support person for the juvenile justice aspect of the agency's mission; prepare juvenile detention reports, the annual report for OCFS, update OCFS, jail and police lockup master lists; forward and track all juvenile justice correspondence; prepare juvenile PD lockup reports; be responsible for all copying, filing and correspondence associated with the juvenile detention project. Perform other non-routine tasks as periodically assigned by the Office Manager. |

Minimum/Preferred Qualifications |
Permanent service in this title or reachable on the appropriate Civil Service list; or have one year of permanent competitive service in a title SG-9 or higher and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. |
