Salary RangeFrom $84156 to $106454 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Five years of experience in at least one of the following:
Active Directory, SharePoint administration, RACF, audit support, ITSM
The following degrees may substitute for the general experience as indicated:
- Associate’s degree and four years of experience
- Associate’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and three years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree including 15 semester credit hours in computer science and two years of experience
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field substitutes for an additional year of experience
Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 4, SG- 25, within the Labor, Workforce and Education Portfolio (LWE), Business Solutions Burau, under the Chief Technology Office, supporting the Department of Labor (DOL) the Project Assistants, SG-NS, will function as a lead developer responsible for all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle for systems supporting DOL business needs and applications. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
• Manage user access within Active Directory including creating, deprovisioning, modify access to multiple HESC resources.
• LAN share folder creation while administrating access within Active Directory
• Manage internal and external application access using custom application to administer users, groups, roles, permissions to various HESC sites, features, and reports. Process applications for access.
• Perform administrative duties for custom access control system such as adding/removing schools, providing assistance to schools having issues with login and access to specific areas.
• RACF account assistance including password resets, internal and external access, user access to database regions established by group membership.
• Assist with providing information for FSA/GSA & KPMG Audits pertaining to accounts and access.
• Lead and manage annual staff verifications to multiple HESC resources
• SharePoint Administration:
a. SharePoint User Access for HESC Sites under the NYS HESC Site Collection
b. SharePoint Security Access Requests (SARs) - Configure/Route/Remind/Complete requests within custom infopath application for access approvals
c. Work with ShareGate for reports or audit requests
• Create tickets in ITSM as needed for New HESC employees, for SharePoint license activation, One Drive modifications, request to grant access
• Complete Work for any Onboarding/Offboarding HESC and ITS employees related to systems managed by the position.
• Performs all supervisory responsibilities including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, performance evaluations, timesheet approvals.
• Monitor workloads, prioritize and assign tasks, assist to maintain a flow of productivity.
