Minimum Qualifications • Candidates must be licensed and currently registered to practice nursing in the State of New York.
Duties Description The temp hourly Registered Nurse 1 will provide coverage where nursing needs are high and staffing ratios are low. The Registered Nurse 1 duties may include, but are not limited to: injections, enteral feedings, wound care, insertion of catheters, ostomy care, and nursing assessments. Provides nursing care oversight, charts health status, transcribes physician’s orders accurately, and ensures appropriate medication orders and follow up appointments are communicated within the work location. This position will be provided a mentor for training.
NOTE: You must have a valid driver’s license to apply as travel is a part of the duties involved in this position.
Additional Comments • All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
