Job Specifics

Duties Description The Student Assistant will provide support for the Office of Crime Analysis and Strategic Partnerships (OCASP), Erie Crime Analysis Center by assisting in regular product development and special projects, as necessary. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with reviewing reports for partner agencies;

• Assisting with creating daily intelligence bulletins, pattern bulletins, and others, as needed;

• Assisting with gun crime tracking;

• Creation of Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) presentations;

• Assisting with building COMPSTAT briefings;

• Researching projects with deep archival searches; and

• Other routine tasks, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university.

Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate would possess experience with Microsoft 365, research experience, and strong written and verbal communication.
