Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications EXPERIENCE:

Four (4) years of responsible management, administrative or supervisory experience in the health services field including one (1) year as manager of one or more of the following areas functioning in support of clinical or treatment services: budget, fiscal, human resource management, affirmative action, information systems management, or support services in a general hospital, community mental health center, health care facility or a facility or agency providing services to people diagnosed with mental illness, developmental disabilities or mental retardation.

AND

EDUCATION:

A Master's degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards in hospital, health care, public or business administration or a related field.

OR

EXPERIENCE:

Six (6) years of the experience described above including two (2) years as a manager as described above.

AND

EDUCATION:

A Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university or one recognized by the NYS Education Department as following acceptable educational standards.

Additionally, all candidates must be eligible to participate in Federal health care programs (e.g., Medicaid). Individuals excluded from participation in these programs will not be considered.

Duties Description Under the general direction of the Executive Director, Psychiatric Center, the Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 – Administration (DDPC 1) will have responsibility for the day-to-day development and direction of administrative management services (human resources, fiscal services and support services) and will be responsible for the overall development, maintenance and implementation of the Environment of Care (EOC) plans at the facility. The DDPC 1, as part of the management team of the facility, assists the Executive Director and provides administrative leadership; implements facility policies; interprets policy guidelines and monitors the effectiveness of these policies and ensures Joint Commission standards for Administrative Services are met.

Additional Comments Rochester Psychiatric Center, a state-operated, Joint Commission accredited facility serving residents of Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Wyoming, Orleans and Wayne Counties, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Deputy Director, Psychiatric Center 1 - Administration. The facility provides a full range of quality individualized psychiatric treatment and rehabilitation services that promote recovery, including: Civil Adult Inpatient, Outpatient Clinic, Adult residential and community support services; Adolescent residential, mobile mental health and community support services; and Forensic inpatient and outpatient clinical treatment services. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION AND FEES:
