Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as an Addictions Program Specialist 1, G-18 and interested in reassignment; OR reachable for permanent appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Addictions Program Specialist 1, G-18 or the Addictions Program Specialist Trainee eligible list; OR eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Addiction Program Specialist 1 will assist with a variety of administrative matters related to Impaired Driver Services across NYS. The incumbent will respond to inquiries/informal complaints via phone and email; coordinate internal and external stakeholder meetings; coordinate comprehensive quality assurance and compliant processes; carry out monthly and weekly reporting for the unit; work collaboratively with training staff to make updates to the Impaired Driver curriculum as necessary; carry out other duties as assigned. Up to 15% travel may be required

Grade 18 - $56,604 – $71,980
Trainee 1 - $42,986 - $55,008
Trainee 2 - $44,455 - $58,028
(2 year traineeship leading to a Grade 18)
