Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Eligible for a lateral transfer or eligible for a 52.6 transfer by having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title;

NOTE: Candidates who are currently on the eligible list for the Human Resources Specialist 2 in Albany need not submit an application for this posting unless they are applying directly as a result of the transfer qualifications listed above.

Duties Description The Human Resources Specialist 2 will be responsible for overseeing personnel services for various Bureau’s/Divisions/Centers within OTDA. This oversight includes recruitment, classification, staffing, examination planning, labor relations and supervision of a Human Resources Specialist 1. The Human Resources Specialist 2 will also provide supervision over OTDA’s New Employee Orientation Process, facilitate BHR's Supervisory Training and oversee OTDA’s Recruitment Unit.

Additional Comments Appointment to this position is contingent upon Division of Budget approval to fill. You must be a current NYS employee to apply to this position. A full time, contingent-permanent appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
