Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Must possess a current license to practice as a Dental Hygienist in New York State.

Duties Description Performs dental services under the supervision of a Dentist. Removes calcareous deposits, accretions and stains from teeth. Applies topical agents to teeth for complete dental prophylaxis. Removes cement and sutures. Performs topical medication, fluoride and anesthetic applications. Polishes teeth. Charts dental care. Places and removes temporary restorations.

Additional Comments The selected candidate will be required to take the next available New York State Department of Civil Service Examination and obtain a reachable score.
