Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a title allocated to a SG-7 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law. Eligible list candidates will be considered separately and need not apply.

Duties Description This position is located in the Financial Office within the Administrative Services Unit. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: answering telephone and/or e-mail inquiries from claimants, providers, and vendors regarding payments or procedures, referring inquiries as necessary and keeping records of such communications; preparing documents; performing data entry, and entering payments associated with victim claims and State operations payments into various computer systems including Claims Assistant and the Statewide Financial System; handling inventory functions, including maintaining adequate levels of office supplies, filling supply requests from all units within the Office of Victim Services, and ordering and receiving incoming shipments of supplies; processing shipments of printed materials including brochures and applications to our Victim Assistance Programs and other entities as requested; balancing bank statements; processing mail; and providing reception area coverage.
