Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as a Senior Administrative Assistant, G-23 OR in a position at the G-21 level or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two grades.

Duties Description Senior Administrative Assistant, SG-23Under the direction of a Mgr Info Tech Svcs 1 within the Human Services/IT Resource Management (ITRM)/ITRM Finance & Budget section, the incumbent will be supervising five staff and will be responsible for assisting all non-HR related ITRM functions.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
`Supervise purchasing, procurement and contract support including conducting market scans and cost benefit analyses for goods, services and contracts needed to support any and all HSC locations and host agencies;
`Prepare processes, track all purchases and requisitions;
`Secure necessary State and Agency financial approvals included preparation and submission of B-1184 forms;
`Plan and track space, equipment and telecom needs for all HSC locations;
`Work with OGS and/or facility maintenance sub-contractors for necessary repairs and maintenance of all HSC offices;
`Assist HSC management in securing training needs for program staff;
`Perform the full range of supervisory duties.

Additional Comments Some positions may require fingerprinting. Fees for fingerprinting may be required to be paid by new or reinstated NYS employees.
