Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Reachable on current Civil Service eligible list used for filling this title; one year of permanent, competitive class service as a Data Processing Fiscal Systems Auditor 2; or one year of permanent, competitive class service in a title approved for transfer under Section 70.1 or Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Example of titles eligible for transfer include: State Program Examiner 2 Systems, Tax Auditor 2, Unemployment Insurance Auditor 2. Please note, depending on your current title, additional special qualifications may be required to be eligible for appointment via transfer. Candidates who wish to apply for provisional appointment must meet the following qualifications: One year of experience as a Data Processing Fiscal Systems Auditor 1.

Duties Description Under the direction of the Audit Manager or Audit Director, the incumbent will be responsible for planning and supervising audits, reviews, continuous monitoring and analytical projects. The department conducts operational, compliance and performance audits and reviews from initial entrance conference through final reporting. The incumbent will also provide value added consultative services on an as needed basis. Audits and reviews will involve financial, programmatic and administrative areas. Experience in internal auditing, with an emphasis on information technology and security auditing is required. Approximately 10% travel is required to visit each of the State Insurance Fund's Business Offices, as needed, to perform audit procedures.
