Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable on the appropriate Civil Service eligible list, or;
Candidates must have permanently served at least one year in a title designated as appropriate for transfer in accordance with Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Transfer eligible titles include, but may not be limited to Associate Attorney, Supervising Attorney, Compensation Claims Referee or Sr. Compensation Claims Referee.

Duties Description Supervises the adjudication processes of the Workers' Compensation Board working with Office of General Counsel and local district management; ensures and maintains high standards of quality by auditing and monitoring work product quality and evaluates work performance of all Compensation Claims Referees and Senior Attorneys within the Office of Adjudication in the Buffalo District Office; hires and trains employees; presides on calendars and performs all tasks related to the Adjudication process; serves as legal resource for OGC through ARD; reports complaints, investigates and follows up as needed; effectively communicates with interested parties.
