Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications 1) An Associate's degree in Physical Education, Recreation, Recreation Therapy, and 2 years experience in direction of a schedules organized recreational program;

Or 2) A Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Recreation, or Recreation Therapy;

Or 3) A Bachelor's degree and 2 years experience as described above.

Duties Description Plan and coordinate organized discretionary time activities for offenders. This would include developing and directing a comprehensive recreational program of athletic and non-athletic activities; compliance with established directive; soliciting offender and community involvement; provide instruction in and officiating at activities; preparing written reports; maintaining records of participants, programs, and equipment; responsible for issuance and repair of equipment and supplies; conducting tryouts and selecting teams and officials; and coordinating tournaments and other events.
