Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service in a title SG-16 or higher and otherwise eligible for 52.6, 70.1, or 70.4 transfer. Candidates eligible for 55-b/c appointment are also eligible to apply.

Duties Description This position will involve conducting research and analyses regarding the State’s use of incarceration, supervision, and innovative forms of offender programming. The research will focus on reducing recidivism and will be used in support of a criminal justice cost benefit modeling tool. The incumbent will procure and analyze data from a variety of sources related to the adult criminal justice system. The preferred candidate will have strong data manipulation skills and experience interpreting results and writing policy briefs. Proficiency with PASW/SPSS, SAS, STATA or an equivalent statistical analysis software package is preferred.
