Job Specifics

Minimum Qualifications Medical Specialist 1: (Grade 35 salary range $30,912- $37,105) Requires a license to practice medicine in New York State, possession of a M.C., M.B.B.S., or D.O. degre, and completion of a training program approved by the American certifying board of the medical specialty for entrance into their certifying examination or equivalent qualifications.*
Medical Specialist 2: Same as Medical Specialist 1 with Certification by the appropriate American Specialty Board.*

*Requires eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicaid and Medicare programs which must be maintained for continued employment. Failure to do so will result in the termination of your employment. Stutzman ATC is a Tabacco-Free Facility.

Duties Description This position assures the overall safety of this 33 bed inpatient addictions treatment facility by providing medical care, medical program administration, patient education, and direct care to the patients.
The Clincal Physician (25%) develops protocols, policies and procedures in accordance with best addictions medicine standards and practices. Evidence based programming is created in concert with clinical staff members. The Clinical Physician assesses patient needs, participates in treatment planning, patient and staff educationa nd teaching, crisis intervention and related documentation on an electronic record. The physician signs all treatment plans and assures compliance with state licensing regulations. The patients at the facility are emotionally complex with increasingly complicated medical conditions. The physician provides 24-hour, on-call communication and care consistent with licensing standards and NYS regulations.
Stutzman ATC is a trauma-informed treatment program; serves Parent and Their Children within the program (24/7); is a tobacco-free facility.
