Minimum Qualifications This position is open to NYS employees with one year of permanent, competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 (Programming), SG-18, or to those deemed eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. Candidates reachable on the eligible list will be considered through canvas and need not apply.

Duties Description Candidate will be involved in the analysis, and development of a large project from inception to completion using current Microsoft technology, giving the Candidate the opportunity to develop and be a part of a small development team.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Participate in the analyses, programming, documentation and support of SBOE applications including the voter registration system, campaign finance system, candidate management system and web-based applications.
- Participate in help desk/end user support including assistance with the submission of campaign filing information.
- Participate in the documentation of programming assignments
- Participate in the production of end-user documentation and training materials.
- May supervise help desk staff as needed.

Desired Experienced:

- Experience with development and database technologies that may include .NET, C# and MS SQL Server.
- Experience in programming.
- Experience working in a help desk environment providing end user support.
- Experience producing end-user documentation and training material.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with technical staff and agency program staff.
