Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must currently be an Information Technology Specialist 2 OR be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law.
52.6 Transfer:
Candidates must have one year of permanent, competitive service in a qualifying title allocated to salary grade 16 or higher.

Duties Description • Migrations of PeopleSoft objects
• Open support cases on Oracle Support Website
• Create userids and grant access to PayServ
• Administer passwords in development/test PayServ
• Administer security permissions in PayServ
• Troubleshoot on-line user access issues to PayServ
• Document PS Admin processes
• Download/apply patches to various system software/components
• Install new versions of PeopleSoft, Tuxedo and Weblogic software
• Create/modify unix scripts
• Sync online/batch PayServ environments
• Create/modify Web Servers / Application Servers / Process Schedulers
• Administer the Loadtesting application LoadRunner.
• Create Scripts and run load tests as requested.
• General tasks related to Unicenter administration
o Maintenance and patching of all Unicenter applications
o Producing and analyzing data reports as needed
o Database administration using SQL tools
o Troubleshooting technical and functional issues
o Provide training to application users as needed
o Management of application permissions
o Data reconciliations

• Primary administrator of the Unicenter IT Client Manager application
o Implementation of new scalability servers as needed
o Deploy and maintain IT Client Manager agents on all OSC computer assets
o Work with other Asset Management staff to create and maintain IT Client Manager Software Signatures
o Other tasks related to IT Client Manager

• Backup Administrator of the Unicenter Asset Portfolio Management application
o Create and update records to maintain data integrity
o Imports of Excel data files into Asset Portfolio Management
o Create and schedule the run of data validation reports
o Other tasks related to Asset Portfolio Management

• Primary administrator of the Asset Intelligence application
o Create, update, and distribute instructions and procedures for Unicenter and Asset Management related tasks.
o Handle Service Desk Incidents and Work Orders related to Unicenter and Asset Management tasks as needed.
o Perform other Asset Management duties as assigned
• Write up business cases
• Write Change Management Requests
• Attend meetings, planning sessions, team meetings, etc.
• Provide on call support as needed
• Participate in activities (maintenance, upgrades, etc.) across IT groups (i.e. Applications, Database, Security, Networking, AIX)
• Collect information needed for new hardware/software installations or modifications to existing configurations including all necessary support infrastructure.
• Monitor or assist in monitoring disk space utilization, as well as other system resources, and makes required adjustments to meet capacity and efficient operating requirements according to established thresholds and following designated procedures.
• Plan, execute, and perform quality assurance measures on system user acceptance tests of programs and systems.
• Run diagnostic software to ensure that applications run properly and take appropriate corrective action when required.
• Install, configure or customize software and ensure the configurations meet system requirements.
• Ensure repair and preventative maintenance procedures are followed for the agency's hardware and software.
• Respond to user "help desk" requests or referrals of computer related problems.
• Assist in coordination with vendors in the installation, administration, testing, and maintenance of hardware and software.

Additional Comments Desired Competencies:
• Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM (1 – 3 years optimal)
• Experience with PeopleSoft coding languages
