Minimum Qualifications Reachable on Civil Service Eligible List OR One year of permanent competitive service as a Senior Auditor OR Eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

Duties Description Under the general supervision of an Associate Auditor or Management Specialist 2, perform professional auditing tasks requiring knowledge of auditing and accounting principles and procedures which appropriately consider relevant risk factors and applicable rules and regulations in the development, examination, review or analysis of auditing records, including the preparation of related reports and statements. Performs systematic examinations and appraisals of the accounting records; source documents, records and reports related to the operation of a program, division or bureau. Evaluates and appraises operations of a program, division or bureau for compliance with established policies and procedures, including those required by laws, rules or regulations governing the program. Conducts detailed reviews of internal procedures and controls. Prepares reports and recommendations on corrective action. Additional duties will be discussed in detail during the interview.
