Minimum Qualifications FOR PERMANENT APPOINTMENT: Candidate must be employed by New York State and have permanent or contingent permanent status or 55-b/c service as a Social Work Supervisor 1; OR be reachable for appointment from the Civil Service list; OR currently encumber a position in which you are eligible for a 70.1 transfer.

FOR PROVISIONAL APPOINTMENT: Three months of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Social Worker 2 or Social Worker 2 (any parenthetic); AND you must be LICENSED AND CURRENTLY REGISTERED as a certified social worker in New York State.

Duties Description The duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Working with the Voluntary and OPWDD State Operations and DDRO staff on the development of residential opportunities for the Developmental Center Closure initiative for Brooklyn and Queens Campuses.

• Assisting with the development of residential placements for young adults aging-out of Residential Schools.

• Waiver Enrollment for individuals going into the residential placements identified above.

• Review operating budgets, PPA development, construction oversight, assisting agencies in the preparation of certification and opening of programs.

• Provide technical assistance to the Voluntary providers on all aspects of development.
