Minimum Qualifications Transfer in title: Currently a non-probationary DA 1 (Salary Gr. 12).
70.1 Promotion/Transfer Qualifications: Current or previous one year permanent service as: Developmental Aide Or Developmental Aide/IRM, Both SG-9; Licensed Practical Nurse, SG-10; Senior Licensed Practical Nurse, SG-11; Or Non- Probationary DA 1/IRM, SG-12 (and other comparable titles such as MHTA 1, CRAD, etc.).
Civil Service List: Simultaneous to this posting the Civil Service list for Developmental Assistant Trainee may be canvassed and utilized for promotional purposes.
Pursuant to the Agreement between CSEA Local 414 and the CNY DSO governing ISU posting & bidding, award of positions that represent a promotion or horizontal movement in this title will be made considering the three separate and distinct categories above. Appointment to this title may be made from one of the three categories on the basis of seniority subject to the language contained in Article 44 and section 70.1 of Civil Service Law or by being appropriately qualified on the Civil Service list.
Duties Description The DA 1 position will be utilized as a hands-on working supervisor who is counted as part of the daily direct care staffing minimum.
This person will assist with planning and scheduling community inclusion activities, and ensure that all consumers have an opportunity to participate.
Ensures that IPOPO’s, behavior and residential habilitation plans are enacted as written.
Perform house maintenance inspections and schedule needed repairs.
Completes other duties as delegated by the DA2, DA 3, or other supervisory staff.
This person will also have supervisory duties related to the afternoon and midnight shift.
Additional Comments Must have the ability to adjust work hours to meet the operational and supervisory needs of the worksite in accordance with Article 32 of the ISU contract.
The successful bidder to this posting is advised that it will be their responsibility to discuss, with their new supervisor, any previously approved time off. There is no guarantee the new unit will be able to honor previously approved time.
