Minimum Qualifications Incumbent should have at least ten (10) years of extensive experience as a detective and/or investigator with established working relations with law enforcement agencies and experience in criminal intelligence and investigations with specific experience conducting investigations, interviews, and interrogations in a correction environment. FBI, Top Secret clearance with secure compartment information, certified specialized training in prison radicalization and counter-terrorism, such as the debriefing in prisons training conducted by the Prison Intelligence Unit of the Metropolitan Police (Scotland Yard) or other notable governmental law enforcement entities, and the ability to work in an undercover capacity also required.

Duties Description The incumbent will conduct investigations, interviews and/or interrogations at correctional facilities throughout the state as a member of the DOCCS Inspector General's Office. The incumbent will act as a liaison with various law enforcement agencies such as the New York State Police, New York City Police Department, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Joint Terrorism Task Force, and the Regional Intelligence Centers at HIDTA and UNIRIC, specializing in counter-terrorism, prevention of prison radicalization and multi-agency criminal investigations. The incumbent will work closely with other law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, conduct confidential investigations of a highly sensitive nature, including internal affairs, interview and interrogate persons that are subject to an investigation, prepare written reports, enforce the laws of the State of New York and the United States and testify in any required court appearances.
