Minimum Qualifications Current Department of Health employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator 2, grade 25, OR any current NYS employee with one year of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title at or above grade 23 and eligible for transfer to Health Program Administrator 2 under section 52.6 or 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in: Space Management, Records Management, Vehicle Management, Continuity of Operations for an Agency, Equipment Inventory, Managing Mailroom Services (Including Mass Mailings and overseeing a Distribution Center), working with the Office of the State Comptroller and experience with other State Audits.

Duties Description Reporting to the Director of Operations Management Group (OMG), the position serves as the Deputy Director of the group, a key management position in the Division of Administration. OMG is responsible for a wide range of support services within DOH including: processing mail, maintaining an inventory of office supplies to process orders, distributing public education materials, managing State vehicle registration and repair, managing leased and State-owned office space, and managing telecommunications. OMG staff maintains an inventory of all equipment valued over $500; coordinates the surplus of furniture and equipment; maintains records of the Department’s fixed assets; and manages the Department’s records retention function, development of all DOH forms, the Internal Control Program, and the Corning Tower Building Tenant Safety Organization. The position is also responsible for assisting the Director with Continuity of Operations Plans for the Human Resources and Operations Management groups, and representing these groups during audits.

Additional Comments Permanent, full-time appointment; travel to areas that may not be served by public transportation may be required.
