Minimum Qualifications Permanent status as an Associate Auditor, G-23, and interested in reassignment; ~OR~ Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law (i.e. Associate Accountant) ~OR~ Reachable for permanent appointment from the current Civil Service eligible list for Associate Auditor.

Duties Description The incumbent will serve as the auditor-in-charge (AIC) of fiscal reviews, audits and special financial investigations of OASAS-funded service providers to determine compliance with governing laws, rules, contracts and OASAS guidelines. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following: Planning and conducting fiscal examinations; preparation of work papers and documentation of provider's policies and procedures; creation of appropriate fiscal review/audit reports containing findings and recommendations for supervisory review; supervision of Senior Auditors as assigned. This position is based out of the Albany office with approximately 50% travel time required in the upstate region of the state.
