Duties Description The Incident Management Unit (IMU) within the Division of Quality Improvement was created as part of the initiative to ensure the safety and welfare of individuals with developmental disabilities. The Agency program Aides will be responsible for:

• Further development and maintenance of the Mental Hygiene Law (MHL) 16.34 database.

• Implementing the system for the MHL 16.34 checks as required by law and regulation.

• Interacting with agencies to meet the requirements (3,500+ requests per month) and entering statewide data into the system.

• Refining and improving this database as the MHL 16.34 process further develops to make it more efficient and effective.

• Collecting and analyzing data from the system and assisting in ensuring that agencies comply with the MHL 16.34.

• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Comments All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
