70.1 Transfer
One year of permanent competitive or 55 b/c service in a clerical, secretarial or paraprofessional title at salary grade 12 or above and meet transfer eligibility requirements.

Duties Description The incumbent will be assigned to the Business Services Center (BSC) Finance Unit and will be responsible for processing transactions in one of the following service lines: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Travel, Purchasing, or Credit Card Administration.
• Supervise clerical staff, lead daily “huddles” for team members and assign work as appropriate.
• Approve transactions in SFS in accordance with BSC performance metrics and OSC prompt payment guidelines.
• Resolve problematic transactions including contract issues with vendors and agencies.
• Verify, code, and approve financial transactions for SFS input following accepted accounting practices and subject to applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• Conduct both written and telephone communications and prepare correspondence to customers, vendors, program administrators and others regarding requests for information, the provision of assistance or advice, and the response to questions.
• Give advice and assistance in the performance of complex tasks related to the assigned service line.
• Collaborate in developing and executing test conditions to ensure performance of automated processes and systems in conformance with legislative mandates and department requirements.
• Analyze data and resolve complex auditing problems related to various NYS business practices, including various audit functions and related processes.
• Consistently provide quality customer service to all BSC customers (i.e. vendors, customer agencies, state employees).
