Salary RangeFrom $44327 to $56466 Annually
Minimum Qualifications (Grade 14) - Either: 1) Reachable on a Civil Service eligible list; OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having a permanent competitive service as an Accountant Trainee 1; OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.
Duties Description Job duties include but are not limited to the following:
Under the direct supervision of the Associate Accountant, the incumbent will assist in maintaining the System's general ledger, supplemental schedules, and preparation of journal entries. Incumbent will also be responsible for the monthly and quarterly reconciliation of assigned accounts and will serve as back up support for other functions in the General Accounting Unit, including, but not limited to, Accounts Receivable system, troubleshooting and testing of the PeopleSoft accounting system. The incumbent will also cross train in General and Administrative Fund statement preparation and assist in updating and administration of department policies.
