Minimum Qualifications Candidate must have permanent service in this title or must have one year permanent service in a title allocated to a SG-4 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law. Individuals designated as 55-b/c eligible may also apply. Eligible list candidates will be considered separately and need not apply.

Duties Description This position will be responsible for processing compensation payments through OVS’ claims processing system (Claims Assistant); processing emergency award checks, revenue checks received for restitution, subrogation and refunds of appropriations; answering telephone calls from claimants and providers who contact OVS with questions, and directing callers to the appropriate staff person; and the distribution of paychecks. The incumbent will also fill supply requests; manage the inventory and restocking of the supply room; and assist with the management of the agency’s fleet, which may include transporting the vehicles for maintenance, cleaning and repair.
