Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing, painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media; or associate’s degree in the same fields and two years of experience.

Duties Description Following the New York State Branding Guidelines, duties of the position will include but not be limited to:

• Work with agency customers to discuss and determine design strategies;
• Design, using Adobe Creative Suite, and create print materials, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, palm cards, posters, and forms;
• Prepare design files for print;
• Work with printers and other media producers to ensure that jobs are produced and delivered as specified;
• Design custom graphics for use in agency communications;
• Create promotional and presentation materials for executive staff and outreach, including PowerPoint slide shows, signage, handouts, and similar materials;
• Design and update agency’s forms, manuals and PowerPoints using Microsoft Office Suite;
• Design graphics for use with agency Web site, Web-based applications, and videos.
• Taking photographs at OTDA events.







The ideal candidate may also have:

• Design experience in large format graphics; multi-page documents; custom print publications; stationary; interactive presentations and knowledge of online graphic preparation for mobile devices, web and electronic media;
• Experience with all facets of printing and file production for print to include image preparation for offset and digital printing, familiarity with Pantone system, CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Key or Black), RGB (Red, Green and Blue) and HEX (hexidecimal) color models;
• Knowledge of both Mac and Window Platforms;
• Knowledge of shooting and editing videos, and recording and editing audio tracks a plus.

Additional Comments This is a full-time, non-competitive appointment. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
