Salary RangeFrom $43584 to $54433 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Must be currently employed by a New York State Agency with at least one year of permanent, competitive service as a Secretary 2, OR in a position allocated to SG-13 or higher and eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Under the direction of the Assistant Medicaid Inspector General (MIG), the incumbent provides confidential, administrative support to the Assistant MIG. Duties include, but are not limited to:
log and track all correspondence received, including opening, reviewing, sorting and distributing mail in accordance with staff assignments; prepare correspondence for the signature of management staff, including drafting, formatting and finalizing written correspondence, and researching and/or coordinating compilation of information with other OMIG staff; respond to telephone inquiries from agency staff, other State government officials, and the public; assist with scheduling of public conferences and events, including generating and assembling handout packets for public presentations and professional conferences; schedule meetings and maintain calendar; and coordinate travel arrangements and prepare travel vouchers.
Additional Comments Proficient in Word, Excel, Visio, Outlook and Access; Power Point is a plus. Must have excellent organizational skills, proofreading skills, ability to multitask, and attention to detail. Experience working for executive-level staff and excellent interpersonal skills is also preferred. Filling of this position is pending a waiver approval by the Division of Budget.
