Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICAITONS: Candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or non-competitive 55/b/c service as a Senior Personnel Administrator OR be reachable on the Public Administration Trainee Transition (PATT) eligible list. Appointments made from the PATT list require a two-year traineeship
Duties Description DUTIES: The New York State Division of Human Rights’ Human Resources (HR) Office is filling a position of Senior Personnel Administrator, G-18. HR provides personnel and payroll services, staff development, labor relations and employee benefits. The duties of this position will include, but not be limited to:
•performing various activities related to personnel, payroll, staffing, classification, compensation, and employee services and benefits;
•working closely with program managers to ensure the recruitment & selection and development of qualified, competent and diversified workforce;
•providing technical assistance and guidance to program managers on variety of human resources, labor relations and civil service issues;
•assisting with employee grievances and disciplines;
•monitoring agency time and attendance program;
•performing various activities related to staffing, classification, payroll, compensation, and employee services and benefits;
•assisting in the development and implementation of new program initiatives, assisting programs with organizational planning, staff-development, career mobility initiatives;
•conduct training activities; and
•completing special projects as assigned.
Additional Comments This will be a contingent permanent appointment. Salary above applies to candidates appointed to Senior Personnel Administrator, SG 18. The hiring rate for PATT candidate will be based on candidate's salary at the time of hire. Candidates hired into the traineeship will be advanced to Senior Personnel Administrator upon successful completion of a two-year traineeship.
