Minimum Qualifications Qualified applicant must currently have permanent or contingent permanent status as a Keyboard Specialist 1 in a New York State Agency; OR eligible for transfer OR be reachable on the Civil Service List

Duties Description This position will assist in the fulfillment of the Front Door Initiative. By having a clerical staff assigned to this department, the following functions can be completed by the clerical staff to give the Facilitator more opportunity to proceed with processing a Front Door request.

• Utilize various computer programs to email
• Scan and develop and maintain spreadsheets
• Relate by phone or in person to individuals, families and local agencies in a helpful and professional manner as it relates to the Front Door Process
• Evaluate telephone call inquiries for follow up and level of urgency
• Maintain spreadsheets for tracking of Front Door cases
• Schedule Front Door Sessions, including scheduling of translators for the sessions as needed
• Assist Supervisor and Team with correspondence, returning calls and addressing the needs of the department
• Photocopy and/or scan Front Door literature as needed
• Order Front Door literature; insure the material required for the Front Door Information session is available when needed
• Answer DDRO intake line, directing the call to the appropriate departments. Answer questions within their realm in a professional manner
• Participate in Front Door Information Sessions by distributing literature and maintaining an attendance sheet for all attendees.
