Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree minimum, with graduate degree preferred, in a related field, and at least ten (10) years of significant operational and executive leadership experience in the areas of Real Property Management, Real Estate Planning and Development. A graduate degree may be substituted for five (5) years of the experiential requirement.
Duties Description OGS is currently seeking a well qualified, principle-centered leader to serve as the Chief Real Estate Officer for the State of New York. Under the direction of the OGS Commissioner, the Chief Real Estate Officer is a member of the agency’s executive team and will be responsible for leadership and direction of a variety functions and services including: real property & facilities management; design and construction; lease administration; fixed asset management and planning. A primary responsibility of the candidate will be the establishment of the NYS Real Estate Center; a statewide enterprise that will place the responsibility of all state owned and leased property under the management of a single best in class organization.
