Minimum Qualifications Current permanent status as a Licensed Master Social Worker 1 and qualified for lateral transfer ~OR~ Eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law ~OR~ Reachable on the current Licensed Master Social Worker 1 eligible list ~OR~ To be eligible for provisional appointment, you must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Master Social Worker.

Duties Description The LMSW I will function as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical treatment team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Case manager for up to six patients - This includes the daily coordination of one to one interviews, group therapy, housing placement, continuing care placement, and review of funding related to ongoing care post discharge.
• Provides lectures, attends daily treatment team meetings.
• Provides coverage as needed for clinical teams and ward coverage
• Attends and supports all Quality Assurance, Staff Meetings and Performance Improvement Teams.
• Serve as professional role model to other staff.
• May be expected to assist in the planning, development and implementation of new programs. This includes, but is not limited to: Management Committee, Clinical Care, special projects, and performance improvement teams.
• Lead groups and other patient education or counseling sessions; provide individual and group counseling;
• Design and implement special clinical activities as assigned; assist with recreational activities as needed;
• Assess patient needs and complete assessments; develop and prepare Interpretive Summaries; establish, review and update individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patients on the ward to ensure safety; work with clients during crises;
