Minimum Qualifications Interested candidates must have at least one year of permanent (or continent permanent) status in a title designated as eligible for transfer under Section 52.6 or 70.1 of Civil Service Law to the title of Senior Personnel Administrator OR the position may also be filled at the Personnel Administrator Trainee 1 level by individuals in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law.
Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to, the following activities:
Assist in the resolution of issues involving union contracts, grievances and disciplinary matters; assist supervisors in the development, implementation and documentation of employee coaching and counseling; assist in the delivery of employee relations skills training for supervisors; conduct background and factual data gathering on individual grievances and disciplinary matters; research and document pertinent information in support of special projects or reports; maintain confidentiality of Human Resources issues; assist with other Human Resources related assignments as necessary.
Additional Comments NOTE: The hours of this position require working until 5:00 p.m.
If filled as a trainee, the selected candidate must successfully complete a two-year traineeship. The salary listed is for appointment at the grade 18 level. The salary range for appointment to the trainee level is $38,972 to $48,951.
