Reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for Business System Analyst 2.
Duties Description This position requested will be part of the team, and will be responsible for creating databases, reports, analyzing data, identifying and summarizing potential improvements to the current procedures and supporting WTM and OPWDD by providing both the business and technology support with the training, hiring, personnel, labor relations and related components. The incumbent will use business intelligence tools to evaluate process performance data and help to identify and quantify opportunities for improvement within the WTM.
Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Personnel the Business System Analyst will perform but not be limited to the following duties:
• Create and maintain a database or databases as needed in Access
• Review current standards and procedures on an ongoing basis, and proactively propose changes or new procedures as needed, to ensure effective internal controls are in place
• Provide feedback on reports handled, identify content needs and review the reports for upcoming expectations.
• Assist in development of requirements for existing system fixes and enhancements and contribute to analysis for developing systems.
• Design and prepare narrative and statistical reports as needed.
• Perform other administrative, research, and analysis duties as assigned
• Create, format and present various documents that summarize the effectiveness of business processes and determine whether those processes are meeting the desired performance measures.
• Develop a consistent and organized method to document all business procedures.
• Identify and summarize potential improvements to the current procedures.
• May develop training plans to ensure that a sufficient number of staff are trained in the procedure.
• Maintain and report on timelines for various system enhancements related to recommended business process improvements.
• Work extensively in Crystal Reports, MS Excel, MS Access and other products deemed necessary to meet the needs of WTM.
• Develop statewide reports (adhoc) as needed.
Additional Comments All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
