Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS employees with one year of permanent competitive service as an Associate Administrative Analyst, G-23 OR in a position at G-21 or above deemed administrative under Section 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
There is currently no Civil Service eligible list for the Associate Administrative Analyst title. Therefore, candidates who meet the following Civil Service Minimum Qualifications for the Associate Administrative Analyst position may be eligible for provisional appointment.
Provisional Qualifications: One year of Permanent Competitive or 55-b/55-c service as a Senior Administrative Analyst.
NOTE: If you are appointed provisionally, you are responsible for taking the next Civil Service examination given for this title. In order to be permanently appointed to the item, you must pass the examination and be reachable for appointment on the resulting eligible list. If you do not take, pass, and achieve a reachable score on the examination, you may not be retained in the position.
If there are no more than three qualified candidates in the direct promotion field for this position, the agency may request approval from the Department of Civil Service to fill this position via a noncompetitive promotion (NCP) examination, pursuant to Section 52.7 of the Civil Service Law. In order to be eligible for the NCP, candidates must have 1 year in the Senior Administrative Analyst, SG-18.
Duties Description The Associate Administrative Analyst will be a critical member of the Administrative Support Team of the e-Licensing Project and will work directly with the integration contractor administrative lead with handling staffing concerns, onboarding and off-boarding of contract resources, space management and all facility related matters. The incumbent will oversee the training and staff development area of the project as well as manage facility related matters that may arise and will play an active role in addressing any health and safety concerns with OGS Building Management. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Manage facility related issues and communicate building matters with OGS management.
• Manage project training requests, product training and staff development.
• Act as subject matter expert (SME) for Enterprise initiatives; e.g. Statewide Financial System, ID Wizard, Business Wizard, etc.
• Develop e-Licensing guidebook and administer guidebook related changes.
• Provide guidance to administrative team on admin related matters.
• Additional tasks or projects that may be requested by senior and executive management.
• Perform a full range of supervisory duties.
Additional Comments This Office of Information Technology Services position will be assigned to the e-Licensing bureau. Work hours will be discussed and negotiated at the time of interview. Some positions may require fingerprinting.
