Minimum Qualifications PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, EXCEL), SFS (travel) desired, Must have good organizational and communication skills.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for 70.1 transfer. In order to qualify for 70.1 transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title. Some titles eligible to transfer to the Secretary 2 are: Administrative Aide, Agency Program Aide, Legal Assistant 1, Payroll Specialist 2 or Personnel Status Examiner 1.

Duties Description The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking to fill a Secretary 2 position to provide administrative support to the Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Work Force and Talent Management in a fast paced setting.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
• Manage a fast paced office dynamic office; organizing, scheduling and implementing multiple meetings,
• Prepare meeting materials, as needed
• Prepare various letters/memorandums and reports for the division as needed.
• Screen and direct all communications: email, mail and telephone
• Coordinate travel arrangements and prepare expense reports as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other divisions to manage workflow.
• Coordinating and managing the divisional workflow.
• Adhoc projects as needed
• Miscellaneous administrative and clerical assignments as necessary.
Additional Comments All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
