Salary RangeFrom $81808 to $102167 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Either 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list (if you are on the eligible list for this title you will automatically be canvassed for this position if your score is reachable for potential employment); OR
2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as Information Technology Specialist 4 OR 3) Eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1, 52.6 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law by virtue of having one year of permanent competitive service in an appropriate title.
Duties Description The job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- The incumbent will supervise ITSM staff, coordinate and articulate technical concepts using easily understandable business language of ITSM software and ITIL framework
- Interprets requirements from the IT department management and supervisors and delivers a product/release that meets the needs presented. Creates requirements, definitions and technical specifications documentation
- Works directly with IT Management to align ITSM software with IT organization strategy
- Project management and coordination of all approved ITSM processes and tasks
- Load, manipulate and maintain data between ITSM software and other systems
- Performs System and integration testing with test/live data with IS Support teams
- Configuration and customization of the ITSM system including workflows
- Uses scripting tools and ITSM functionality to automate routine tasks within the ITSM software
- Researches, packages and Deploys new releases and/or enhancements into the ITSM live environment
- Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the ITSM software and integration's
Additional Comments • Detailed knowledge of the following software: Windows 7, Microsoft Office (including Outlook), Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio
• Knowledge of any of the following: ServiceNow, BMC, RemedyForce or Cherwell ITSM software's.
• Ability to: read and understand technical literature; understand complex oral and written instructions; plan, coordinate, and direct; conduct system modeling and systems analysis sessions; oversee the implementation of application programs and systems; conduct post-implementation reviews and problem resolution; maintain application programs and systems; effectively communicate technical information both orally and in writing; apply problem-solving techniques; prepare and execute test plans; and to oversee multiple projects.
• Experience managing projects; project management techniques; and of supervisory principles and practices. This may include management of external resources.
• Budget preparation and administration experience
• General understanding of Networking concepts and terminology
• Previous experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
• Knowledge of LDAP/Active Directory and relevant IT architecture experience Working knowledge of Web Technologies (XML, HTML, JAVA Script, AJAX, CSS, HTTP/S, etc.)
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP and Single Sign-On (SSO) Integration
• Working knowledge of cloud concepts and architecture
• Knowledge in ITIL v3 standards
