Minimum Qualifications Must be reachable on the Civil Service eligible list: Professional Administrative Traineeship Transition (PATT), or Professional Careers Opportunity Test (PCO) or a current New York State employee eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Titles eligible for 70.1 are Program Operations Specialist 1 and Management Specialist 1.

Duties Description • Investigate and determine potential eligibility or continued eligibility for all benefits and assistance available to individuals.
• Develop benefits and entitlement; protect and preserve assets and continued eligibility for benefits.
• Maximize reimbursement by establishing charges and arranging payments.
• Communicate with Revenue Support Field Operations, other State and Federal agencies, community agencies, individuals, their relatives and other advocates.

Additional Comments All OPWDD employees must be eligible and maintain eligibility for full and unconditional participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Continued employment will depend on maintaining eligibility.
