Salary RangeFrom $56569 to $70646 Annually
Minimum Qualifications EITHER: 1) Reachable on the Civil Service eligible list (if you are on the eligible list for this title you will automatically be canvassed for this position if your score is reachable for potential employment); OR 2) Eligible for reassignment by virtue of having permanent competitive service as an Information Technology Specialist 2 (Prog.); OR 3) eligible for transfer under the provisions of Section 70.1, 52.6 or 70.4 of the Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The incumbent duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
The incumbent will work in a team environment developing .NET Applications as well as maintaining existing .NET Applications. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting related third party software and other toolkits as needed. The incumbent will work with end-users to define the project requirements for analysis
and design of solutions. The incumbent will design, code, and test applications to meet the necessary requirements and make adjustments needed. As a part of a project team, the incumbent will perform a full range of activities including: Systems Analysis and Design; Application Programming Development; Unit, Systems
and Acceptance testing; and Systems implementation and maintenance.
Additional Comments Preferred Skills/Expertise
- Experience with .NET framework and Visual Studio
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server
- At least one year applied experience in application development
- Applied experience in application analysis, development and/or support for systems
specific to financial industries preferred
- Familiarity with relational database programming techniques
-Familiarity with n-tier web application development with a focus on security
- Familiarity with console application development for automation, job processing,
and scheduling
- Familiarity with web services
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Understanding of Object Oriented concepts
