Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
Duties Description The incumbent will perform, direct and backup a variety of support areas, assisting any or all of the Bureau’s functional units. Typical duties will include, but not be limited to:
• Maintaining, administering and monitoring various databases,
• Typing routine and non-routine correspondence,
• Monitoring insurance and other submissions from contractors/consultants,
• Administering the Consultant Selection System and scoring consultant projects,
• Creating and maintain postings, announcements, etc. on and for the Bureau’s websites,
• Answering phones and relaying messages,
• Assisting in directing clerical functions relating to contracting activities,
• General support functions as needed.
The incumbent may also be required to supervise subordinate clerical staff.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
