Minimum Qualifications Section 70.1: Must be a current employee of New York State with one year of permanent competitive service in one of the following titles: Excise Tax Investigator, Labor Standard Investigator (including Spanish Language), Motor Vehicle Investigator, Senior Motor Vehicle Investigator or Unemployment Insurance Investigator (including Spanish Language).

Duties Description Obtain information concerning application for various type licenses or permits to sell alcoholic beverages. Interview complainants, witnesses, licensees, employees, and take written statements/affidavits relating to possible violations of the Alcoholic Beverage Control law, rules and regulations. Conduct both disclosed and undercover investigations. Examine records of licensed establishments to insure compliance with ABC law.
Travel is required.
