Minimum Qualifications A current New York State employee with one year of permanent competitive service in a clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 7 or higher.

Licensing Services Clerk Trainee: A current New York State employee with one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a clerical, secretarial or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 6 or higher. After successful completion of the one year traineeship, incumbents will automatically advance to Licensing Services Clerk, SG-9.

Duties Description The incumbent will be reviewing license and/or permit applications for completeness and accuracy, prepare deficiency letters advising the applicant of the need for additional information or documentation, conduct personal interviews with applicants, and prepare written reports detailing the specific facts of each application clearly and concisely for members of the Licensing Board. The incumbent would also be required to answer inquiries from applicants and/or attorneys, whether via email, telephonic or in person. The incumbent would also perform other clerical duties as needed.
