Minimum Qualifications Candidates must have permanent status as an Agency Program Aide and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is seeking qualified candidates to fill an Agency Program Aide, Grade 13 position. This position is located in the Office of Quality Management, Bureau of Quality Improvement.
The Bureau of Quality Improvement oversees OMH’s clinical risk management function by promoting patient health and safety, reducing risk and identifying organizational opportunities for improvement. The Bureau provides technical assistance and support to assure continuing Joint Commission (TJC) accreditation and Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) certification of OMH facilities.
Under general supervision, the Agency Program Aide provides support for the following bureau functions:
• The Bureau of Quality Improvement’s (BQI) responsibilities, including maintaining and updating multiple Microsoft Access databases.
• The annual Inspection of the Care Survey.
• Triennial TJC surveys of OMH’s 23 State operated facilities.
• The OMH Incident Management System (NIMRS) and with the overall functioning of the Bureau of Quality Improvement.
