Minimum Qualifications A bachelor's degree and three (3) years’ experience in the field of equal employment opportunity, human rights, or affirmative action. Qualifying experience includes experience with community service organizations concerned with affirmative action, equal employment opportunity, civil rights, diversity management, minority business development, or similar programs; experience in recruiting, training, and upgrading the educational and job qualifications of protected class members; and personnel administration or labor relations experience directly related to affirmative action. At least one year of this experience must have been at a management or supervisory level.
[Substitution: Two additional years of the general experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree. A Master's degree may be substituted for an additional year of experience.]

Duties Description The Affirmative Action Administrator 2 (AAA 2) will be responsible for the implementation of the Agency’s Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and Harassment Complaint policies and procedures through the investigation of all reports of employment discrimination made by and about employees of the agency in the downstate offices.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
• Conduct fair, balanced and objective investigations of the facts including intake interviews and witness interviews and assisting in interrogating respondents;
• Submit accurate, compete and timely draft investigation reports;
• Coordinate with Counsel’s Office and Human Resources regarding recommendations of the investigations and the implementation thereof;
• Implementation of the Agency’s Request for Reasonable Accommodation through the analysis of the needs of employees with disabilities and the feasibility of accommodating of their request.
• Obtain and maintain confidential medical records: communicate with employees, physicians, counsel’s office and program divisions regarding the needs of the parties; and coordinate the implementation of approved accommodations.

Additional Comments Location Pay -- $3,026

Appointment will be contingent upon Division of Budget approval to fill. A full time, permanent, non-competitive appointment will be made. Travel will be required to Brooklyn and Albany. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title.
